Four accused lodged in the Central Jail of Coimbatore in connection with a double murder case were today detained under the Goondas Act.
The accused–Sadiq Ali, Askar Ali, Manzoor Ali and Sheik Ali– were arrested in connection with the murder of one Mohammed Bashya, a beef merchant and his friend Habib Mohammed, on November one.
Business rivalry was said to be the reason behind the murder.
City police commissioner, A Amalraj ordered their detention under the Goondas Act, police said.
