Tonga owners in the capital were asked Wednesday by the Delhi High Court to submit a representation within a week to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) seeking their relocation.
Disposing off a petition filed by tonga owners seeking their relocation against the MCD’s decision to phase out the horse-drawn carriages from the walled city, Justice Rajiv Sahai Endlaw asked the civic agency to consider their demands within 15 days.
The court also said that if tonga owners do not agree to shift to the new place, the MCD can take appropriate action against them.
