goa high courtA fast track court judge, Bela Nayak, on Tuesday directed that charges be framed against Ajay Kulal, Vijay Kulal and Maqsood Beig, accused in a case of attempt to murder at Margao in 2012.

Public prosecutor Subhash Dessai argued that there is prima facie evidence against the trio and prosecution’s case is based on the evidence of five witnesses.

He sought framing of charges under Section 307 (attempt to murder) read with 34 (common intention) of Indian Penal Code.

On October 25, 2012, around 12.30am, 24-year-old Ibrahim Ismael Sarju, a driver, along with his friend Javed Shaikh went to Maxx bar and restaurant, near Holy Spirit Church, Margao, for a drink.

After they arrived at the bar, Javed spotted some of his pals and they joined them. Ajay, Vijay and Maqsood also joined this group.

A little later, Ajay started creating nuisance and picked up a quarrel with Ibrahim. Ibrahim has alleged that Ajay, Vijay and Maqsood assaulted him with slaps and a wooden stick and threw him into a well with the intention to kill him. PSI Melson Colaco is the investigation officer.
