A fast track court convicted four persons, including a woman, for abducting and gangraping a 16-year-old girl in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar district.
Judge Rajesh Bhardwaj yesterday held Inam, Naushad, Mohammad guilty of abducting the girl and gangraping her in 2008 at Bihari village in the district, while Kavita was found guilty of helping in the crime.
The four were convicted under sections 363, 366 and 376 IPC, the prosecution said, adding, the quantum of sentence will be pronounced on August 2.
The minor girl was abducted and gangraped by three youths on January 2, 2008 with the help of a woman and the victim was held captive for 64 days.
