The Delhi High Court Friday issued notice to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), its leader Alka Lamba and other party members on a defamation suit filed by expelled AAP member Vinod Kumar Binny accusing them of maligning him.

Justice Manmohan Singh sought response from AAP, Alka Lamba, Manoj Kumar, Raju Dhingan, Bandana Kumari and the central government on the plea in which Laxmi Nagar MLA Binny sought Rs.1 crores damages. The court posted the matter for Oct 28.

Binny, who has been accused by Lamba of claiming in a Facebook post that she is running a sex racket from her home, said that someone had created a fake account in his name to malign him.

The MLA told the court that he had already informed the police and law authorities about the fake Facebook account.

“Someone has created a fake account in my name with an intention to malign me. Two months ago, I had reported the matter to the police commissioner, crime branch, and the local police,” advocate Rahul Raj Malik appearing for Binny told the court.

In her complaint to police against Binny and 37 others, Lamba had said that Binny had posted a comment on his social networking account that in a police raid at her house, two girls were arrested for sex trade.
