A CBI chargesheet against private medical university official here filed on the basis of a media sting operation on capitation fee has been quashed by the Madras High Court on the ground that he could not be charged under the Prevention of Corruption Act since he was not a public servant.
Justice Aruna Jagadeesan, quashed the chargesheet, allowing a petition by Subramanian, Deputy Registrar of the Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute.
