jaganThe High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad (formerly Andhra Pradesh High Court) on Wednesday allowed a petition filed by senior IAS officer K Ratna Prabha requesting to quash her name from the case filed by CBI related to land allocation to Indu Techzone also allegedly involving YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

Justice V Suri Appa Rao on Wednesday allowed the petition filed by Ratna Prabha urging the court to quash her name in the case against her on the grounds that CBI acted ‘without jurisdiction and verifying the facts at the ground level’.

CBI’s standing counsel Kesava Rao said the petition has been allowed and they are yet to receive order copy. “She filed a discharge petition (last year). On Wednesday orders have been pronounced. That (petition) was allowed. We will have to see the order copy,” Rao said.

The CBI had earlier informed the court that the official, while she was secretary of information technology and communications department in undivided Andhra Pradesh, allegedly facilitated the arbitrary allotment of 250 acres of land at Shamshabad to Indu Techzone in gross violation of the Cabinet decision.

“I have requested the court to remove my name based on the merits of the case. Justice has been done. I have not done any favours to any firm or person. Everything was done as per procedure,” Ratna Prabha said.

The CBI in its tenth charge sheet filed in September last year in the case of alleged quid pro quo investments in Jagan’s firms had named him as accused along with his auditor V Vijay Sai Reddy, Shyam Prasad Reddy, promoter of Hyderabad-based diversified group of companies Indu Group, former minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy senior IAS officers Ratna Prabha and BP Acharya, Indu Techzone among others.
