Anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare will today start his day-long fast at Jantar Mantar against the Parliamentary Standing Committee report on Lokpal Bill. Hazare has reached at the Rajghat, memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, to pay tributes to the Father of the Nation.

The 74-year-old social activist will go to Jantar Mantar where he will sit on a day-long fast. Team Anna members Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia will also sit on the fast. Hazare reached the national capital yesterday. Hundreds of people have gathered at Jantar Mantar where key Team Anna member Kiran Bedi was also present holding the Tricolour.

The Delhi Police have tightened the security at Rajghat and Jantar Mantar. Hazare has appealed the people to observe fast today across the nation. Hazare has announced that he will start an indefinite hunger strike from December 27 at the Ramlila Maidan if the Congress-led UPA government fails to pass an effective Lokpal Bill in the ongoing Winter Session of Parliament.

Team Anna has also invited different political parties in a debate on the proposed anti-corruption Bill at Jantar Mantar. However, the Congress has refused to attend the debate.
