The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Saturday once again searched some of Bishnoi’s properties here as he continued to evade questioning on the Bhanwari Devi case. The house of his sister Indra Singh Bishnoi was also searched by the agency as she was also untraceable.

Malkhan Singh approached the CBI through his lawyer a couple of days back saying he was in Delhi for medical treatment and conveyed that he will be available for questioning Saturday. “But he did not come to the Circuit House here where the questioning was to take place. Now, we are considering to approach a court on Monday to get an arrest warrant issued against him,” sources in the CBI told.

The CBI has served four summons on him in Jodhpur over the past eight days, but the legislator from Luni constituency did not appear before the agency. “Malkhan Singh Bishnoi has been served four notices requiring him to appear before the CBI for questioning, but he has ignored all of them,” sources said.

The CBI had even pasted a notice outside his residence in Jodhpur Tuesday. The notice also warned of legal action if he failed to present himself for questioning.
