Chief Justice of Nepal Damodar Prasad Sharma today stressed on the need for speedy justice saying it will help in reducing the crime rate.
“Speedy disposal of the cases would indirectly reduce the crime rate,” he said while speaking to reporters in Vrindavan.
“For speedy justice, not only the number of trial courts should be increased but it should also be ensured that there are sufficient number of judges,” he added.
On the role of the media, Justice Sharma said journalists should help in maintaining the dignity of the courts.
Justice Sharma is in Vrindavan to pay obeisance at the various temples of the holy town.
