SC imposes exemplary cost of Rs 5 lakh on Maharashtra government

An exemplary cost of Rs 5 lakhs on Maharashtra government has imposed by the Supreme Court for having casual attitude towards implementation of the directions of the apex court on police reforms issued on September 22, 2006.

Meanwhile, another bench has pulled up Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab governments for putting forth lame excuses in the cases pertaining to police brutality against women.

Aligarh police were caught on camera hitting an aged woman protesting against police inaction in the rape case of a five-year-old girl.

Delhi Police is under fire for its inaction and giving a bribe of Rs 2,000 to a family of a rape victim to keet quite in Gandhinagar rape case, where a five-year-old girl was gangraped.

Punjab police is facing flak for subjecting a 23-year-old dalit girl in Tarn Taran district to brutal assault.

    AND THOSE RESPONSIBLE WILL BE LAUGHING NAD ENJOYING THE SHOW.
    IN FACT THE CONCERNED OFFICIALS MUST BE PUT BEHIND THE BARS TILL SC’S ORDER IS EXECUTED/OBEYED.
