Supreme Court adjourns 2G case for Delhi blast, Chief Justice Kapadia to visit blast site

New Delhi, Sep 7 The Supreme Court Wednesday adjourned the 2G spectrum case hearing for 10 minutes after learning about the bomb blast outside the Delhi High Court.

Justice G.S. Singhvi and Justice H.L. Dattu were informed about the explosion by senior counsel Ram Jethmalani.

Justice Singhvi said: ‘It is very difficult to be mechanical and say that life will go on. Loss of human life is loss to the nation.’

 

Supreme Court Chief Justice S.H. Kapadia Wednesday adjourned the hearing of a case after a Delhi High Court bomb explosion, and decided to visit the blast site.

Saying that he would visit the high court to see the situation, Kapadia adjourned the Vodafone tax case till lunch.

The hearing at the apex court will resume post lunch.

With the failure of the government to prevent the blast inspite of inputs to them as claimed by HM in Lok Sabha, it leads one to believe that the agencies responsible for prevention of the blast were being misutilised by the ruling party to investigate cases against the persons who are opposing them for corruption etc.
