In Punjab three people, including a woman has sentenced to death by court on a two-year-old case of honour killing of a young couple.
The court awarded death sentence to Paramjit Kaur, mother of the slain woman, and her two relatives.
Rakesh Kumar, 20, and Pooja, 19, were found murdered in Ferozepur district, over 250 km from Chandigarh, nearly two years back.
They were allegedly murdered by members of the girls’ family. Their bodies, which bore marks of attack by sharp-edged weapons, were found from farms.
The father of the slain man had complained to police about the killings.
