An Act to supplement certain provisions of the Sikh Gurdwaras Act,
\n1925.WHEREAS it is expedient to supplement, by legislation in the
\nIndian Legislature, certain provisions of the Sikh Gurdwaras Act,
\n1925 (Punj. Act 8 of 1925), for the purposes hereinafter appearing;<\/p>\n
It is hereby enacted as follows:-<\/p>\n
1.Short title and commencement.<\/p>\n
1. Short title and commencement.-(1) This Act may be called the
\nSikh Gurdwaras (Supplementary) Act, 1925.(2) It shall come into force on the date1* appointed by the
\nState Government under sub-section (3) of section 1 of the Sikh
\nGurdwaras Act, 1925 (Punj. Act 8 of 1925).<\/p>\n
2.Validation of certain provisions of Punjab Act 8 of 1925.2. Validation of certain provisions of Punjab Act 8 of 1925.-The
\nSikh Gurdwaras Act, 1925 (Punj. Act 8 of 1925) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), shall, so far as it adds to or takes from the jurisdiction of the High Court of Judicature at Lahore or prescribes the procedure of the said Court, be as valid as if it had been passed by the Indian Legislature.<\/p>\n
