Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.
The fact, that the Gurukul University has been declared to be a
fake University by the University Grants Commission, is not
disputed.
Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the degree was an
equivalent degree prior to 2008 as indicated in the notification of
the State Government itself, copy of which is Annexure- 6 to the
writ petition.
The aforesaid argument would have been available, had the
petitioner been appointed prior to 2008 but once the University
itself has been declared to be fake University then any degree or
certificate obtained by the petitioner from the University cannot
serve the purpose of public employment as on date.
The Writ petition lacks merit and is accordingly dismissed.
