Additional Public Prosecutor Mr.J.K. Shah places on record
certificate issued by Dr.S. Napoleon Singh, Medical Officer, Central
Jail Dispensary, Ahmedabad dated 20th March 2011. The
relevant part of the certificate reads as under:

“Recently,
he was examined by psychiatric expert of Mental Hospital Delhidarwaja
on 11/02/2011 at central jail Ahmedabad and advice him to stop the
medicines. Again he was examined by psychiatrist from Civil Hospital
Ahmedabad on 19/03/2011 and on examination patient was found
conscious and oriented, mood is normal, no thought disturbance and
patient wants to do work. For the complaint of insomnia he was
advised medicines Tab.Diazepam (sedative) for 15 days and advised no
other psychiatric treatment required at present.” (emphasis
supplied)

Learned
APP Mr.Shah states that the matter of the applicant for grant of
furlough is under consideration of the authorities as now he has
given the name of his paternal aunt as surety. He expects that the
application will be decided within a week from today. He requested
that the matter may be kept on 31st March 2011. Adjourned
to 31st March 2011.
