petitioner made in paragraph 16 of the

writ application to the effect that

criminal proceeding already stands

quashed by this Court and no departmental

proceeding is pending against him,

respondents are directed to file counter

affidavit in the case as to why the order

cancelling promotion of the petitioner on

the ground that criminal proceeding is

pending should not be quashed. Counter

affidavit must be filed within four

weeks.
