Justice A.K.BASHEER\n\n Dated :22\/06\/2007\n\n O R D E R\n                                A.K.BASHEER, J.\n\n                        --------------------------------------------\n\n                          W.P.(C)No.19260 OF 2007\n\n                         ------------------------------------------\n\n                   Dated this the 22nd day of June, 2007\n\n\n                                    JUDGMENT\n<\/pre>\n<p>      Petitioners   are   stated   to  be   working   as  Higher  Secondary<\/p>\n<p>School Teachers (Junior) in Physics and Chemistry respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Their grievance is that they are taking classes for more than 25<\/p>\n<p>periods   in   a   week   in   the   school.       Still   they   are   forced   to<\/p>\n<p>continue as Higher Secondary School Teachers (Junior).<\/p>\n<p>      2.     I   do   not   propose   to   deal   with   the   above   contention   at<\/p>\n<p>this   stage,   in   view   of   the   limited   prayer   made   by   the   learned<\/p>\n<p>counsel   for   the   petitioners   at   the   Bar.     It   is   submitted   by   him<\/p>\n<p>that   petitioners   had   preferred   Exts.P4   and   P5   representations<\/p>\n<p>highlighting   all   the   relevant   aspects   of   the   issue   before<\/p>\n<p>respondent   no.1.     The   limited   prayer   is   to   issue   a   direction   to<\/p>\n<p>respondent   no.1   to   take   an   appropriate   decision   on   those<\/p>\n<p>representations.     Learned   Government   Pleader   submits   that   if<\/p>\n<p>Exts.P4   and   P5   have   been   preferred   as   contended   by   the<\/p>\n<p>petitioners, a decision thereon will be taken without any delay.<\/p>\n<p>W.P.(C)No.19260 OF 2007<\/p>\n<p>                                      ::  2  ::\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>       3.     In   the   above   facts   and   circumstances,   writ   petition   is<\/p>\n<p>disposed of with a direction to respondent no.1 to consider and<\/p>\n<p>pass   orders   on   Exts.P4   and   P5   strictly   on   their   merit   and   in<\/p>\n<p>accordance   with   law   as   expeditiously   as   possible,   at   any   rate,<\/p>\n<p>within   four   months   from   the   date   of   receipt   of   a   copy   of   this<\/p>\n<p>judgment.     Needless   to   mention   that   petitioners   shall   be<\/p>\n<p>afforded  sufficient  opportunity  to be heard  before any  decision<\/p>\n<p>is  taken  in the matter.
