Justice KURIAN JOSEPH\n\n Dated :25\/03\/2009\n\n O R D E R\n             S.R.Bannurmath, C.J. &amp; Kurian Joseph, J.\n                   ------------------------------------------\n                      W.P.(C) No. 9524 of 2009\n                   ------------------------------------------\n                Dated, this the 25th day of March, 2009\n\n                              JUDGMENT\n<\/pre>\n<p>S.R.Bannurmath, C.J.\n<\/p>\n<p>           This public interest litigation is filed citing certain<\/p>\n<p>untoward incidents in the public meetings called by respondents 3 to 6<\/p>\n<p>in connection with the elections to be held on 16.4.2009. Without<\/p>\n<p>going in detail to the question, as it would meet the ends of justice by<\/p>\n<p>considering prayer No.(1) as to the maintenance of law and order in<\/p>\n<p>such public meetings, we deem it just and proper to direct respondent<\/p>\n<p>No.2, the Director General of Police, to ensure that law and order<\/p>\n<p>situation in such public meetings is maintained with strict sense by<\/p>\n<p>taking appropriate steps.
