Justice P.N.RAVINDRAN\n\n Dated :07\/10\/2010\n\n O R D E R\n                        P.N.RAVINDRAN, J.\n              -----------------------------------------\n                    W.P(C).No.28203 of 2010\n              -----------------------------------------\n            Dated this the 7th day of October, 2010\n\n                             JUDGMENT\n<\/pre>\n<p>      The petitioner, who is working as an empanelled Mechanic in<\/p>\n<p>the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (hereinafter referred<\/p>\n<p>to as the &#8216;Corporation&#8217; for short) has filed this writ petition<\/p>\n<p>alleging that though the Corporation has forwarded a list of<\/p>\n<p>empanelled Mechanics, who had completed 8 years of service as<\/p>\n<p>on 1.9.2008, to the Government and sought the Government&#8217;s<\/p>\n<p>concurrence for regularising them in service as Mechanics, the<\/p>\n<p>name of the petitioner has not been included therein though he is<\/p>\n<p>also eligible for such regularisation.    It is stated that though<\/p>\n<p>pointing out this aspect, the petitioner has submitted Ext.P3<\/p>\n<p>representation to the Managing Director of the Corporation, he<\/p>\n<p>has not taken any action on it. In this writ petition the petitioner<\/p>\n<p>inter alia seeks a direction to the Corporation to consider his<\/p>\n<p>request in Ext.P3 and to take an appropriate decision thereon<\/p>\n<p>within a time limit to be fixed by this Court.<\/p>\n<p>      2. Sri.V.V.Nandagopal Nambiar, learned standing counsel<\/p>\n<p>appearing for the Corporation, submits that the Managing Director<\/p>\n<p>W.P(C).No.28203 of 2010<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\">                                    -:2:-<\/span><\/p>\n<p>of the Corporation will examine the request made by the<\/p>\n<p>petitioner in Ext.P3 and take an appropriate decision thereon and<\/p>\n<p>that depending on the decision taken by the Managing Director<\/p>\n<p>the petitioner&#8217;s name will also be forwarded to the Government.<\/p>\n<p>       In the light of the said submission I dispose of the writ<\/p>\n<p>petition with a direction to the Managing Director of the<\/p>\n<p>Corporation to examine the request made by the petitioner in<\/p>\n<p>Ext.P3 and take an appropriate decision thereon expeditiously and<\/p>\n<p>in any event within six weeks from the date on which the<\/p>\n<p>petitioner produces a certified copy of the judgment before him. It<\/p>\n<p>will be open to the petitioner to supplement Ext.P3 by filing an<\/p>\n<p>additional representation along with the certified copy of the<\/p>\n<p>judgment. The Managing Director shall after taking a decision in<\/p>\n<p>the matter, communicate a copy thereof to the petitioner and the<\/p>\n<p>second respondent.
