Petitioners 1, 2 and 4 are working as Overseers and the<\/p>\n<p>third petitioner is working as Lineman. The Board in the year<\/p>\n<p>1971 fixed quota of 10% for promotion to the post of Sub<\/p>\n<p>Engineer (Electrical) from the categories of              Lineman\/Meter<\/p>\n<p>Reader\/Overseer etc. 10% quota is fixed as per Ext.P1 Board<\/p>\n<p>order. The complaint in the writ petition is that in spite of the<\/p>\n<p>entitlement of the petitioners for promotion to the post of Sub<\/p>\n<p>Engineer against the vacancy which has arisen on 24.10.2002,<\/p>\n<p>no orders have been issued in the matter.<\/p>\n<p>      2. Ext.P13 is a representation filed before the Chairman,<\/p>\n<p>KSEB, Thiruvananthapuram. It is submitted at the Bar that<\/p>\n<p>Board itself, will have to take a decision in the matter.<\/p>\n<p>      3. Therefore, there will be a direction to the first<\/p>\n<p>respondent Board to take a decision on Ext.P13 after<\/p>\n<p>considering the matter in the light of various Board orders and<\/p>\n<p>the orders passed if any in respect of other similarly situated<\/p>\n<p>persons within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a<\/p>\n<p>wpc: 6088 of 2009<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\">                              2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>copy of this judgment.
