Justice V.GIRI\n\n Dated :24\/01\/2008\n\n O R D E R\n                               V.GIRI, J\n\n                             -------------------\n\n                         W.P.(C).37976\/2007\n\n                             --------------------\n\n           Dated this  the  24th day of January, 2008\n\n\n                             JUDGMENT\n<\/pre>\n<p>      Petitioners   are   working     as   Lady   Health   Inspectors.<\/p>\n<p>They aspire for promotion as Lady Health Supervisors.  As<\/p>\n<p>per the Special Rules governing the service,  appointment<\/p>\n<p>to the post of Lady Health Supervisor is by promotion from<\/p>\n<p>the   category   of   Lady   Health   Inspector.     Learned   counsel<\/p>\n<p>for   the   petitioners   submits   that   promotion   to   the   post   of<\/p>\n<p>Lady   Health   Supervisors   is   on   the   basis   of   seniority.<\/p>\n<p>Petitioners had brought it to the notice of the Director of<\/p>\n<p>Health   Services   under   Ext.P4   dated   4.1.2008,     produced<\/p>\n<p>along with I.A.1078\/2007.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>2.    After   having   heard   the   learned   counsel   for   the<\/p>\n<p>petitioners   and   the   learned   Government   Pleader,     writ<\/p>\n<p>petition   is   disposed   of   directing   the       respondent   to   look<\/p>\n<p>into   the   claim   made   by   the   petitioners   under   Ext.P4   and<\/p>\n<p>take   a   decision   thereon   as   early   as   possible   at   any   rate<\/p>\n<p>within six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this<\/p>\n<p>judgment.
