Agrawal\nRespondent:         Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), New Delhi.\n                            Decision announced 11.9.'09\n\n\nFacts<\/pre>\n<p>:-\n<\/p>\n<p>      By an application dated 26.03.2008 Shri K. K. Agrawal of Neemuch,<br \/>\nMadhya Pradesh sought information\/ certified copies of noting concerned with<br \/>\nthe file related to the payment of arrears and interest thereon of the appellant<br \/>\nfrom the Central Public Information Officer, Directorate General, Central Reserve<br \/>\nPolice Force, New Delhi. In response, the CPIO &amp; ADIG (Adm), CRPF, New<br \/>\nDelhi Shri Ramesh Chandra by letter dated 09.04.2008, refused the information<br \/>\nunder Section 24(1) of Right to Information Act, 2005. Shri K. K. Agrawal, being<br \/>\naggrieved with the response, filed an appeal on 29.04.2008 under Section 19(1)<br \/>\nof the RTI Act before the first appellate authority, Intelligence Bureau, (MHA),<br \/>\nNew Delhi. The appellate authority &amp; DIG, CRPF, Shri S. R. Ojha by his order of<br \/>\n28.05.2008 upheld the stand taken by the CPIO. Being aggrieved, Shri Sharma<br \/>\nhas approached this Commission under Section 19(3) of RTI Act, 2005.\n<\/p>\n<p>                                    Decision<\/p>\n<p>      The Central Reserve Police Force is indeed an organization listed at S,<br \/>\nNo. 10 in the Second Schedule of Right to Information Act, 2005 as dealing with<br \/>\nsecurity and intelligence, and therefore not covered by the Act except for<br \/>\ninformation pertaining to allegation of Corruption and Violation of Human Rights.<br \/>\nThe information sought by the appellant Shri K. K. Agrawal has made no such<br \/>\nallegations. The information sought by the appellant is general information and<br \/>\nhence, in light of Sec 24(1) does not lie under the ambit of the RTI Act, 2005. In<br \/>\nlight of the above the present appeal is hereby dismissed.\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">                                         1<\/span><\/p>\n<p>       Announced.
