Respondents. \n\n\nPrayer: This petition has been filed seeking for a writ of Mandamus, to direct the 1st respondent to pay a sum of Rs.85,357\/- and 2nd respondent to pay a sum of Rs.17,202\/- as balance pensionary benefits payable to the applicant by fixing the scale of pay at Rs.2200\/- with effect from 27.6.1989 based on para 5(B) of G.O.Ms.215, Finance (Pay Cell) Department, dated 22.3.93, and G.O.(3D) No.106, MA &amp; WS Department, dated 25.7.1995 with interest at 24% per annum. \n\n\n\t\tFor Petitioner \t  : Mr.T.Mathivanan\n\n\t\tFor Respondents    : Mr.T.Sreenivasan\n\t\t\t\t\t    Government Advocate \n\n\n\n\n\nO R D E R\n<\/pre>\n<p>\tHeard the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents.<\/p>\n<p>\t2. Though the prayer sought for by the petitioner in the present writ petition is for a larger relief, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that it would suffice, if the representation of the petitioner, dated 25.04.1996, is directed to be disposed of by the first respondent, on merits, within a specified period. <\/p>\n<p>\t3. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents, has no objection for such an order being passed by this Court.\t<\/p>\n<p>\t4. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsels appearing on either side, without going into the merits of case, the first respondent is directed to dispose of the representation, dated 25.04.1996, on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the parties concerned, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if it has not been disposed of till date. The petitioner is directed to furnish to the first respondent a copy of the representation, dated 25.04.1996, along with a copy of this order.<br \/>\n\tThe writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
