I am worried about Itahar, Raiganj, Karandighi, Kaliyaganj, Hemtabad, Harirampur Banshihari Kushmadi Block of Uttar Dinajpur and Dakshin Dinajpur and Ratua I and II, Kharba I and II, Harishchandrapur I and II Block of North Malda. Five times these areas have witnessed unprecedented devastation but till date no long or short term measures have been adopted. In Ratua, devastating erosion is almost liquidating the habitation of a few thousand people in Mahananda Tola and Bilaimari.
