SIRI JAGAN, J.\n                ------------------------------------\n                  W.P.(C)No.23977 OF 2008\n              ----------------------------------------\n              Dated this the 19th day of August, 2008\n\n                            JUDGMENT\n<\/pre>\n<p>     The petitioner is a Staff Nurse in the Health Service<\/p>\n<p>Department. She is aspiring for admission to the M.Sc. Nursing<\/p>\n<p>Course in the quota prescribed for State Level Nursing Officers.<\/p>\n<p>According to the petitioner, she would also come within the<\/p>\n<p>purview of the expression &#8216;State Level Nursing Officer&#8217; for whom<\/p>\n<p>a seat is reserved for M.Sc Nursing Course. The petitioner&#8217;s<\/p>\n<p>grievance is that the DME rejected the claim of the petitioner on<\/p>\n<p>the ground that the said seat is reserved exclusively for the two posts<\/p>\n<p>of Assistant Director of Nursing Services and Deputy Director of<\/p>\n<p>Nursing Services and not for others.            The petitioner would<\/p>\n<p>contend that both the persons holding those two posts already<\/p>\n<p>have the qualification of M.Sc Nursing and therefore the persons<\/p>\n<p>down the ladder can also be considered for admission to the said<\/p>\n<p>course in the reserved set.       Seeking this relief, the petitioner<\/p>\n<p>has submitted Ext.P7 representation before the Hon&#8217;ble Minister<\/p>\n<p>for Health with a copy of the same marked to the 1st respondent.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">W.P.(c)No.23977\/08                2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The petitioner seeks a direction to the 1st respondent to<\/p>\n<p>consider and pass orders on the same expeditiously.          The<\/p>\n<p>petitioner would contend that since the last date for admission<\/p>\n<p>is fast approaching, the 1st respondent may be directed to<\/p>\n<p>consider the same within the shortest possible time.<\/p>\n<p>      2.    I have heard the learned Government Pleader also.<\/p>\n<p>      In the facts and circumstances of the case, I feel that the<\/p>\n<p>1st respondent can be directed to consider Ext.P7 expeditiously.<\/p>\n<p>Accordingly, the 1st respondent is directed to consider and pass<\/p>\n<p>appropriate orders on Ext.P7, as expeditiously as possible, at<\/p>\n<p>any rate, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt<\/p>\n<p>of a copy of this judgment.\n<\/p>\n<p>      The writ petition is disposed of as above.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>                                          S.
