The Applicant filed an RTI application dt.15.6.09 with the CPIO, DGHS requesting for<br \/>\n       information against 51 points. Shri A.B.Ramteke, CPIO replied on 25.6.09 stating that<br \/>\n       as per RTI (Fee and Cost) Rules, 2005, the fee of Rs.10\/- is required to be paid by the<br \/>\n       Applicant for seeking the information through a Demand Draft\/IPO drawn in favour of<br \/>\n       PAO, DGHS, New Delhi or by cash. No other mode of payment is acceptable under the<br \/>\n       Act. He, therefore, returned the RTI application in original with the request to send a<br \/>\n       demand draft\/IPO of Rs.10\/- in favour of PAO, DGHS, New Delhi.        Being aggrieved<br \/>\n       with this response the Applicant filed a complaint dt.5.9.09 before CIC. The CIC vide<br \/>\n       its notice dt.29.10.09 directed the PIO to provide the information by 30.11.09 and to<br \/>\n       show cause in writing for the delay in furnishing information by 4.12.09.\n<\/p>\n<p>2.     The Bench of Mrs. Annapurna Dixit, Information Commissioner, scheduled the hearing<br \/>\n       for December 9, 2009.\n<\/p>\n<p>3.     Shri A.B.Ramteke, Jt.Director and Shri Sunil Kulshrestha, Technical Officer represented<br \/>\n       the Public Authority.\n<\/p>\n<p>4.     The Complainant was not present during the hearing.\n<\/p>\n<p>Decision<\/p>\n<p>5.
