Nos.2181 and 2184 OF 2008\n              ````````````````````````````````````````````````````\n               Dated this the 6th day of August, 2009\n\n                            J U D G M E N T\n<\/pre>\n<p>Balakrishnan Nair, J.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>             The dispute raised in these appeals is concerning the<\/p>\n<p>validity of the appointment of Dr.E.Prakash as Principal in charge<\/p>\n<p>pending regular selection to the said post.                Now, both sides<\/p>\n<p>submitted that regular selection is almost over and the selection,<\/p>\n<p>we are told, has been made in the form of direct recruitment<\/p>\n<p>instead of promotion. Therefore, the teachers, who maintained the<\/p>\n<p>view that appointment to the post of Principal should be made by<\/p>\n<p>way of promotion, have already moved this court by filing a writ<\/p>\n<p>petition. There is an interim order to the effect that appointment to<\/p>\n<p>the post of Principal shall not be made without obtaining orders<\/p>\n<p>from this court. In view of the said developments, we feel it is<\/p>\n<p>unnecessary to go into the merits of the rival claims for<\/p>\n<p>appointment as Principal-in-charge. Therefore, these writ appeals<\/p>\n<p>WA.2181 &amp; 2184\/08<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\">                                 : 2 :<\/span><\/p>\n<p>are closed. Dr.Prakash, who is presently working as the Principal-<\/p>\n<p>in-charge, will continue as such till regular appointment is made to<\/p>\n<p>that post.
