Earlier Smt Balwinder shukla was          established by an act of state legislature of Uttar<br \/>\n       the director General ABS. Do UGC rule          Pradesh as a private University and empowered to<br \/>\n       permits a university use of Director \/Addl     award Degrees as specified under sec22 of the UGC<br \/>\n       Director general to resignate its faculty?     Act at there main campus i.e. Gautam Buddha<br \/>\n       The usual rank for teaching faculty are        Nagar .Uttar Pradesh with the Approval of Statutory<br \/>\n       roffesor,Reader, etc and the rank like DG      Councils, wherever required.<br \/>\n       are used for a high level Govt officials for<br \/>\n       example high level Director General Civil<br \/>\n       Aviation Are private organisatiomnlike<br \/>\n       ABS allowed to use this nomenclature for<br \/>\n       its employees.\n<\/p>\n<p>       UGC, to maintain the Quality of                Inspection of the UGC as per the requirement of the\n<\/p>\n<p> 2.    Education and avoid Commercialization          UGC act ,1956 and regulation (Establishment5 of<br \/>\n       of education and safeguard the interest of     and Maintains of standards in private universities)<br \/>\n       the student, has issued UGC act. These         regulations, 2003, for ascertaining academic and<br \/>\n       regulations are mandatory for all private      physical infrastructure of a university is yet to be<br \/>\n       universities\/there deptt.                      carried out in the case of Amity University Noida.<br \/>\n       What is total intake student of ABS? As        The UGC Has framed regulations for state private\n<\/p>\n<p> 3.    per the available information the number       universities namely UGC (Establishment of and<br \/>\n       runs into several hundreds and possibly        maintains of standard in private universities )<br \/>\n       crosses the 1000 marks. It is this kind of     regulation 2003 which are mandatory to all state<br \/>\n       intake allowed by the UGC?                     private universities .These are being reviewed<br \/>\n                                                      keeping in view of order order of Honble Supreme<br \/>\n                                                      court of India in the case of Prof. Yashpal since all<br \/>\n                                                      the pints raised relate to Amity University which is<br \/>\n                                                      covered under RTI Act to reply , Your application<br \/>\n                                                      has been transferred to Amity University under 6(3)<br \/>\n                                                      of RTI Act6 for reply.\n<\/p>\n<p>         How many people teach an ABS as\n<\/p>\n<p> 4.     visiting faculty? Is this number allowing<br \/>\n        by the UG and are they Sufficiently<br \/>\n        qualified and experienced?\n<\/p>\n<p>        How many teachers are pursuing PhD\n<\/p>\n<p> 5.     with Amity University? When where they<br \/>\n        registered, and under what selection<br \/>\n        procedure and who are there guides.\n<\/p>\n<p>        ABS, as per there website charge a fee of .\n<\/p>\n<p> 6.     about Rs2.0 lacs of Rs3.0 lacs per student<br \/>\n        per semester. Is this kind of fee allowed<br \/>\n        by UGC? Further, free laptop are provided<br \/>\n        to student are they really free? How much<br \/>\n        does a laptop cost ABS, how much<br \/>\n        student charged for that?\n<\/p>\n<p>         Amity goes for heavy advertising to\n<\/p>\n<p> 7.     attract student and promote its interest. Is<br \/>\n        a      university      (like     commercial<br \/>\n        organization) allowed to advertise it self?<br \/>\n        How much money collected since<br \/>\n        inception from students as fees has been<br \/>\n        spent by Amity towards advertisement?\n<\/p>\n<p>Grounds for First Appeal:\n<\/p>\n<p>Incomplete and unsatisfactory information.\n<\/p>\n<p>Order of the First Appellate Authority:<br \/>\nNot enclosed.\n<\/p>\n<p>Grounds for Second Appeal:\n<\/p>\n<p>Unsatisfactory and incomplete information.\n<\/p>\n<p>Relevant facts emerging during hearing:<br \/>\nThe following were present.:\n<\/p>\n<p>Appellant: Dr. Y.S. Kumar<br \/>\nRespondent: Mr. S.C. Chadha PIO<br \/>\nThe Respondent states that AMITY University is created by the Act of U.P. State in view of this whether<br \/>\nAMITY University is a public authority or not would be determined by the State Information<br \/>\nCommission.
