Jaya\n                                       44, M C Chidambaram Street,\n                                       Virudhnagar, Tamil Nadu.\n\nName of the Public Authority       :   CPIO, Indian Bank,\n                                       Head Office, 66,\n                                       Rajaji Salai, Chennai - 600 001.\n\n\n        The Appellant was present along with Shri Rajesh.\n\n        On behalf of the Respondent, Shri K.G. Balasubramanium was<\/pre>\n<p>        present.\n<\/p>\n<p>2.      In this case, the Appellant had, in her application dated 11 October<br \/>\n2008, requested the CPIO to inform her about the exact amount of waiver<br \/>\nby the Virudhanagar Branch as a part of the One-Time Settlement(OTS) of<br \/>\nthe account of Deepak Flexo Packs and as reported during the auditing of<br \/>\nthe Branch account in the financial year 2005-06. The CPIO, in his reply<br \/>\ndated 21 November 2008, stated that all the relevant copies of the<br \/>\nstatement of account etc in connection with the OTS had already been<br \/>\nprovided to her in the past and there was nothing more to be given. He also<br \/>\ninvited her to visit the Branch and seek clarifications and copies of records<br \/>\nrelating to the account of the said firm. Not satisfied with this reply, the<br \/>\nAppellant preferred an appeal on 28 November 2008 which the Appellate<br \/>\nAuthority disposed of in his order dated 17 December 2008 by upholding the<br \/>\ndecision of the CPIO. It is against this order that the Appellant has come to<br \/>\nthe CIC in second appeal.\n<\/p>\n<p>3.      We heard this case through videoconferencing. The Appellant was<br \/>\npresent in the Virudhanagar studio the NIC whereas the Respondent was<br \/>\npresent in the Chennai studio. We heard their submissions. Even though the<br \/>\nRespondent claimed that the desired information had already been provided<\/p>\n<p>CIC\/SM\/A\/2009\/000460<br \/>\n to the Appellant, we feel that the CPIO should once again write to her<br \/>\nexpressly stating the exact amount of waiver in this case as reported by the<br \/>\nBank during the audit of the Branch for the FY 2005-06. We, therefore,<br \/>\ndirect the CPIO to provide to the Appellant the above information within 10<br \/>\nworking days from the receipt of this order. The case is, thus, disposed off.\n<\/p>\n<p>4.
