Survey was conducted several times. The latest survey conducted during 2000-01 by the Railway Ministry depicts that this Talcher-Bimalagarh rail line of 154 km. length would give the rate of return of 10.18 per cent with construction cost of Rs.606.60 corre. This line shall pass through the backward tribal area and forest and mineral resource rich area and commercially, it would be a very profitable line.
