Rahi\n                                              Senior lecturer,\n                                              Electric Engineering Department\n                                              National Institute of Technology,\n                                              Hamirpur- 177 005 (HP)\n\nRespondent                                   : PIO,\n                                               NIT Hamirpur,\n                                               Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh\n\nRTI application filed on                     : 30\/01\/09\nPIO replied                                  : 24\/02\/09\nFirst Appeal filed on                        : 20\/03\/09\nFirst Appellate Authority order              : 28\/04\/09\nSecond Appeal filed on                       : 22\/06\/09\n\nInformation sought:\n 1) Details of the projects in terms of their number , name and faculty members in the\n     capacity of Principal investigator, Co- Investigator , research member who handled as\n     well as are handling them over the last five academic years.(year wise)\n 2) Consultancy earned by each faculty member for the said period of time.\n 3) Short term courses under TEQIP &amp; MHRD organized individually for the said period of\n     time.\n 4) Papers published in Journals, national\/international conferences by individual faculty\n     members for the said period of time.\n 5) The number of lectures delivered by individual faculty members under TEQIP\/MHRD\n     for the said period of time.\n 6) List the extracurricular activities carried out by them for the said period of time.\n 7) Individual score of faculty appraisal report for the said period of time.\n 8) Score of feedback of individual faculty member for the said period of time for the said\n     period of time.\n 9) List of those members whose faculty appraisal score was below 3 on a five-point scale\n     for the said period of time.\n 10) List of those members whose faculty appraisal score was below 3 on a five-point scale\n     for 2005-06.\n 11) Letter vide which criteria of evaluation for faculty of appraisal has been established and\n     letter vide which above criteria was circulated to the faculty.\n 12) The no. of new subjects taught by individual faculty member for the first time during the\n     last five academic years.\n\nReply Of The PIO:\nSince the information asked for was voluminous, the Appellant was requested to access all\nthe information on the institute's website. And for the remaining information, if any, the\nAppellant may obtain it from the respective department officer. In case of unavailability of\nany information form both the sources the Appellant may approach the PIO.\n Grounds for First Appeal:\nThe Appellant did not receive the information he had sought.\n\nOrder of the First Appellate Authority:\nThe Appellant was advised to access the Institute's website as with the provision of the\ninternet connectivity both at the Appellant's office and residence. Furthermore the Appellant\nwas advised to visit the office of the PIO and get the desired information.\n\nGrounds for Second Appeal:\nThe Appellant requires knowing his standing as a faculty member in the institute, and that\ninformation has not been supplied.\n\nRelevant Facts<\/pre>\n<p> emerging during Hearing:\n<\/p>\n<p>The following were present:\n<\/p>\n<p>Appellant: O.P. Rahi<br \/>\nRespondent: Absent<br \/>\nThe Appellant has sought fairly voluminous information which is not available in the<br \/>\nInstitute. It is regrettable that a faculty member who knows that this information is not<br \/>\ncollected and available seeks to make every one work to provide information.
