JOSEPH FRANCIS, JJ.\n              - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -\n                       W.A.No. 731 of 2009\n              - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -\n             Dated this the 3rd day of April, 2009\n\n                             JUDGMENT\n<\/pre>\n<p>Balakrishnan Nair, J.\n<\/p>\n<p>     The appellants are the writ petitioners. They approached<\/p>\n<p>this Court seeking the following reliefs:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>            &#8220;1) Issue a writ of mandamus, or any other<\/p>\n<p>     writ, order or direction directing the respondents to<\/p>\n<p>     grant the risk allowance as per Exhibit P1 G.O.(P)<\/p>\n<p>     480\/89\/Fin dated 1.11.1989, to the petitioners and<\/p>\n<p>     disburse the entire arrears immediately.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>            2) Issue such other orders or directions which<\/p>\n<p>     this Honourable Court deem fit and proper in the<\/p>\n<p>     interest of justice.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>     2. The learned Single Judge directed the appellants to file a<\/p>\n<p>representation before the Government high lighting their claim<\/p>\n<p>and a direction was issued to the Government to consider that<\/p>\n<p>representation in accordance with law, within a time limit.<\/p>\n<p>Dissatisfied with the above direction issued by the learned Single<\/p>\n<p>Judge, this writ appeal was filed.\n<\/p>\n<p>W.A.No. 731 of 2009<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\">                                  2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>      3. We find that the claim of the appellants have already been<\/p>\n<p>considered by the Government and rejected. The said order has not<\/p>\n<p>been challenged in time.     However, the learned Single Judge was<\/p>\n<p>liberal beyond the requirement of law and permitted the appellants to<\/p>\n<p>file representation and further directed the Government to consider<\/p>\n<p>that representation. Therefore, the present appeal is unsustainable in<\/p>\n<p>law and it cannot be entertained.\n<\/p>\n<p>      4. This appeal is accordingly dismissed. The appellants may<\/p>\n<p>file representation before the Government, if they have not filed the<\/p>\n<p>same so far, within two weeks from today.<\/p>\n<p>                                   (K.
