\nu\/s.4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act is sentenced to undergo<\/p>\n
six months Simple Imprisonment and <\/p>\n

appellant was directed to undergo’ <\/p>\n

the deceased   from her parents. On<\/p>\n

 fire by pouring kerosene on her person.<\/p>\n
  hospital for treatment but she died on<\/p>\n

 The prosecution has examined as many as sixteen<\/p>\n
Witnesses and got marked 28 documents and recovered<\/p>\n

produced. PW–1 is the medical officer, PW–2 is vfictim’s<\/p>\n

8 to 11 are the neighbors. PW-7 is a witness   <\/p>\n
mahazar. PW- 12 is a member of th.empanch’ayat..AiV:PW<\/p>\n

  1″1e._has shifted the Victim to the Private Clinic at Bidadi<\/p>\n
 _  “Scooter. The victim had suffered severe injuries and<\/p>\n
if V  _ llthelrefore Doctor advised to take her to Victoriya Hospital.<\/p>\n
When the victim was enquired as to how she suffered the<\/p>\n

burn injuries the Victim was simply Weeping. At that stage,
\nthe learned Public Prosecutor treated this witness as<\/p>\n
hostile and cross~examir1ed him.\n<\/p>\n
8. PW16 was also the Iieighboring ”\n<\/p>\n
supported the prosecution. He has stateid that <\/p>\n
know how the Victim suffered  uriesr  <\/p>\n
9. PW~8 has stated inlhis’  when he went to
\nthe spot people  and he took the<\/p>\n
victim to the:  __t;hisl._:?Witness stated that the<\/p>\n
victim statedtol’l’ha\u00a7fe.Msuffered the injuries when she was<\/p>\n
preparing  this  also treated as hostile and<\/p>\n
he wasgjcrosss –ei(a::n_iried hy the learned Public Prosecutor.<\/p>\n
10. ~_  ‘evidence of PWs 5, E3, 8 to ll it is clear that<\/p>\n
the  suffered burn injuries. EXP2 is a material<\/p>\n
 decurnentllll which is the dying declaration given by the<\/p>\n
 EXP} the letter written by the Doctor PW1<\/p>\n
 “colulpled with deposition of PWI discloses that the victim<\/p>\n
was fit to give statement as fer EXP2. The victim has<\/p>\n

stated in EXP2 that the accused were i1I–treating her to<\/p>\n
bring dowry and when she refused accused No.1 ‘iit \ufb01re<\/p>\n
after pouring kerosene on her body and her <\/p>\n
told the victim not to disclose this to the poiiceiji T1jef”e\u00a3oi~Ve.} _  <\/p>\n
there is nothing to disbeiieve the cc.vntents._vof_   <\/p>\n
11. The Trial Court has consi=d:e’red Register<\/p>\n

\nthat the victiniw   burn injuries because
\nthe stoveiv;hitse1’fiiVasV  in  house and there was no<\/p>\n
indication to, shtowthe’ .stoi}’e.cV4burst also.<\/p>\n
 ‘v.15V\u00bb7  Investigation Officer has stated that he<\/p>\n
has rfe\u00a7;oife:r’e_d__  to 4 consisting of can containing<\/p>\n
 Kerosene, ‘Matchbox, Saree and Langa.<\/p>\n
   After assessing the entire evidence on record it is<\/p>\n
  that the accused have committed an offence<\/p>\n
punishable u\/s.498–~A EPC. No doubt PW–5, 6 & 8 are<\/p>\n

death has taken place because of<\/p>\n
