KURIAKOSE &amp;\n                    N.K.BALAKRISHNAN, JJ.\n              -----------------------------------------------\n                     M.A.C.A.No. 215 of 2005\n              -----------------------------------------------\n            Dated this the 27th day of January, 2011.\n\n                          J U D G M E N T\n<\/pre>\n<p>Balakrishnan, J.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>     The claimant      in O.P.(M.V) No. 1617\/97, M.A.C.T.,<\/p>\n<p>Ernakulam is the appellant. It is alleged that he sustained<\/p>\n<p>injury in a motor accident which took place on 10.6.97.<\/p>\n<p>Copy of the wound certificate made available by the learned<\/p>\n<p>counsel for the    appellant shows that          the appellant had<\/p>\n<p>sustained only an abrasion with soft tissue loss on right<\/p>\n<p>parietal region, laceration on left supra clavicular region,<\/p>\n<p>(sutured),   bruising\/abrasion\/contusion on right shoulder.<\/p>\n<p>The appellant contends that he was treated as an inpatient<\/p>\n<p>from 10.6.97 to 12.6.97. The learned counsel             submits that<\/p>\n<p>the doctor certified that he has got disability also. But going<\/p>\n<p>through the injuries, it can be seen that         no such disability<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">M.A.C.A.215\/05                  2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>could be caused to the appellant due to the injuries<\/p>\n<p>sustained in the accident.  The disability certificate alleged<\/p>\n<p>to have been issued by a private doctor was not proved by<\/p>\n<p>examining     that doctor.   It is also contended that the<\/p>\n<p>appellant had spent more than Rs.2,279.65 for the treatment<\/p>\n<p>in the hospital.    We are not impressed by the argument<\/p>\n<p>advanced by the learned counsel for the appellant since the<\/p>\n<p>appellant had sustained only very minor injuries as noted in<\/p>\n<p>the wound certificate.\n<\/p>\n<p>     2.       Without showing     the amount payable        as<\/p>\n<p>compensation towards medical expense, pain and suffering,<\/p>\n<p>loss of earning etc. lump sum amount of Rs. 5,000\/- was<\/p>\n<p>awarded by the learned MACT.      It appears that the learned<\/p>\n<p>Tribunal did not show the amount payable on each head<\/p>\n<p>because the injuries sustained in the accident were very<\/p>\n<p>minor. We have gone through the reasoning given by the<\/p>\n<p>learned Tribunal. Considering the fact that the injuries<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">M.A.C.A.215\/05                  3<\/span><\/p>\n<p>sustained in the accident was only very minor, we find that<\/p>\n<p>the amount of compensation already awarded is       just and<\/p>\n<p>reasonable and as such this appeal is only to be dismissed.<\/p>\n<p>     Hence dismissed.\n<\/p>\n<p>                                     PIUS C.
