The convict is stated to be aged 71 years.  He is<br \/>\nundergoing 12 years&#8217; imprisonment for the offence punishable under<br \/>\nSections 22(C), 8(C) and 29 of the NDPS Act.  He is also imposed a<br \/>\nFine of Rs.1 lakh, in default, to undergo imprisonment of 01 year.<br \/>\nIt is mentioned that, Fine of Rs.1 lakh is already paid.\n<\/p>\n<p>2.1\tThe<br \/>\napplicant &#8211; convict being convicted for the offence punishable<br \/>\nunder the NDPS Act, he is not entitled to Furlough.  He has enjoyed<br \/>\ntwo Temporary Bail, one in the month of April 2011 for 05 days with<br \/>\npolice escort, to pay the School Fees of his daughter and another in<br \/>\nthe months of May &#8211; June 2011 for 15 days with police escort to<br \/>\npay the School Fees of his daughter.  He is in jail for 08 years, 08<br \/>\nmonths and 13 days as on 21st June 2011.\n<\/p>\n<p>2.2\tThe<br \/>\napplicant &#8211; convict has not produced any papers of his<br \/>\ntreatment in the jail.\n<\/p>\n<p>3.0\tTaking<br \/>\ninto consideration the fact that applicant &#8211; convict is<br \/>\nconvicted for the offence punishable under the NDPS Act, it is deemed<br \/>\nproper that the Jail Authorities be directed to make available the<br \/>\nrequired treatment to the applicant &#8211; convict.\n<\/p>\n<p>4.0\tWith<br \/>\nthis observation, the application is rejected.\n<\/p>\n<p>[<br \/>\nRavi R.
