Justice ANTONY DOMINIC\n\n Dated :17\/01\/2008\n\n O R D E R\n                      ANTONY DOMINIC, J.\n            =========================\n                    W.P.(C)NO.824 OF 2008\n            =========================\n           Dated this the 17th day of January 2008\n\n                            JUDGMENT\n<\/pre>\n<p>      Ext.P4 is an application filed by the petitioner seeking to<\/p>\n<p>correct his date of birth in Ext.P2 certificate issued by the third<\/p>\n<p>respondent. The request made in this behalf was turned down by<\/p>\n<p>Ext.P5 as per Rule 69.2(1) of the Examination Byelaws of 1995<\/p>\n<p>of the first respondent. It is stated that the date of birth of the<\/p>\n<p>candidate has been printed in Ext.P2 in accordance with the<\/p>\n<p>school records.\n<\/p>\n<p>      2. As can be seen from Ext.P4, the request made by the<\/p>\n<p>petitioner is to the Principal and that too for correction of the<\/p>\n<p>school records which has           been erroneously mentioned.<\/p>\n<p>Necessarily, therefore, correction has to be initially recorded in<\/p>\n<p>the school records and that is to be done by the 5th respondent.<\/p>\n<p>Once such correction is made, it is for the Principal to forward the<\/p>\n<p>corrected details of the petitioner to the 4th respondent and once<\/p>\n<p>that is done, it is for the 4th respondent to consider the request<\/p>\n<p>of the petitioner.\n<\/p>\n<p>      3. Therefore, the writ petition is disposed of directing that<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">W.P.(c)824\/2008               2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>acting upon Ext.P4, the 5th respondent shall carry out necessary<\/p>\n<p>correction in the school records and based on the corrected<\/p>\n<p>records, necessary consequential correction will be incorporated<\/p>\n<p>in Ext.P2.
