Appellant was absent, while the respondents<br \/>\nwere represented by Shri B.D. Gupta, Manager (P&amp;IR).\n<\/p>\n<p>2.      Upon hearing the respondents and perusing the documents filed by both<br \/>\nparties, it is noticed that the RTI-request of the appellant, dated 02.06.2007<br \/>\nrequired the respondents to inform him in precise terms as to how the benefits<br \/>\naccruing from Policy No.470323067 (Jeevan Adhar) will be made over to the<br \/>\nbeneficiary. Respondents have given to the appellant all manner of replies citing<br \/>\nexamples and inviting his attention to the policy terms and so on, but have never<br \/>\ntold him precisely as to how and what payments will be made to his nominee in<br \/>\ncase of the policyholder&#8217;s death. This is all that the appellant wants to know, and<br \/>\nthere&#8217;s no reason why this information should not be disclosed to him. It is<br \/>\nappreciated that it may not be possible to calculate parts of the payables before<br \/>\nthe death of the policyholder actually occurs. This part of the information cannot<br \/>\nbe provided as of now, but there should be no reason not to provide to the<br \/>\nappellant actual information which can be tabulated and transmitted to him.<br \/>\nAppellant&#8217;s anxiety seems to be about how much his disabled son would be<br \/>\nentitled to receive from the policy in case of the appellant&#8217;s unfortunate demise.<br \/>\nThere is no reason why his anxiety should not be set at rest by the service-<br \/>\nprovider, viz. the respondent-public authority.\n<\/p>\n<p>3.     In view of the above, it is directed that within two weeks from the date of<br \/>\nthe receipt of this order, the CPIO shall transmit to the appellant the details as<br \/>\nrequested by the appellant through his RTI-application relating to the whole life<br \/>\npolicy taken by him and as mentioned by him in his RTI-request.\n<\/p>\n<p>4.     Appeal allowed.\n<\/p>\n<p>5.
