SIRI JAGAN, J.\n               - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -\n                  W.P.(C)No. 29065 of 2010\n               - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -\n        Dated this the 22nd day of September, 2010\n\n                         J U D G M E N T\n<\/pre>\n<p>     The petitioner was appointed as a Police Constable on<\/p>\n<p>01.05.1985 in Kozhikode District. He was subsequently<\/p>\n<p>transferred to Wayanad District along with 22 other Police<\/p>\n<p>Constables. Originally the service of the petitioner in the<\/p>\n<p>Kozhikode District has not been reckoned for seniority. The<\/p>\n<p>next promotion to which the petitioner can aspire for is that<\/p>\n<p>of Head Constable. According to the petitioner, although on<\/p>\n<p>a petition filed by the petitioner his seniority was re-fixed,<\/p>\n<p>corresponding promotion as Sub Inspector in accordance<\/p>\n<p>with the re-fixed seniority was not given to the petitioner.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore claiming promotion with effect from the date<\/p>\n<p>when the petitioner&#8217;s junior was promoted, the petitioner<\/p>\n<p>has filed Ext.P3 representation before the 2nd respondent.<\/p>\n<p>Petitioner seeks a direction to the 2nd respondent to<\/p>\n<p>W.P.(C)No. 29065 of 2010<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\">                              -2-<\/span><\/p>\n<p>consider and pass orders on Ext.P3 as expeditiously as<\/p>\n<p>possible.\n<\/p>\n<p>      I have heard the learned Government Pleader also.<\/p>\n<p>Having heard both sides, I dispose of this writ petition with<\/p>\n<p>a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider and pass<\/p>\n<p>orders on Ext.P3 as expeditiously as possible, at any rate<\/p>\n<p>within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a<\/p>\n<p>copy of this judgment, after affording an opportunity of<\/p>\n<p>being heard to the petitioner as well as others, who may be<\/p>\n<p>adversely affected, if the prayer of the petitioner is granted.<\/p>\n<p>                                                S.
