Justice K.R.UDAYABHANU\n\n Dated :15\/02\/2007\n\n O R D E R\n                           K.R.UDAYABHANU, J\n\n                       ---------------------------------------------\n\n                          CRL.R.P.No.4253 of 2006\n\n                       ---------------------------------------------\n\n              Dated this the 15th day of February, 2007\n\n\n\n\n                                        ORDER\n<\/pre>\n<p>       Revision   petitioner   stands   convicted   for   the   offence   under<\/p>\n<p>Section   138   of   the   Negotiable   Instruments   Act   and   sentenced   to<\/p>\n<p>undergo simple imprisonment for a period of one month and to pay a<\/p>\n<p>sum of Rs.90,558\/- as compensation and in default, to undergo simple<\/p>\n<p>imprisonment for a period of one month under Section 357(3) of Code<\/p>\n<p>of Criminal Procedure.\n<\/p>\n<p>       2.     Learned counsel for the revision petitioner has only sought<\/p>\n<p>for modification of  the    sentence and  time to make  the payment.     In<\/p>\n<p>the  circumstances,   the   sentence   is   modified   to   imprisonment   till   the<\/p>\n<p>rising   of   the   court   and   to   pay   the   amount   of   compensation   with   the<\/p>\n<p>default clause as ordered by the courts below.  The revision petitioner<\/p>\n<p>is granted four months&#8217; time to make the  payment.   He shall appear<\/p>\n<p>before the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court-I, Kochi on 16.6.2007<\/p>\n<p>to receive the sentence.
