Krishna, Sr. S.C.-1.\n                                        .........\n5\/24.08.2009<\/pre>\n<p>      Heard the parties and with their consent, this writ petition is<\/p>\n<p>          being disposed of at the stage of admission itself.<\/p>\n<p>    2.            The whole grievance of the petitioners is that their cases for<\/p>\n<p>          promotion to the post of Forester from Forest Guard is not being<\/p>\n<p>          considered by the competent authorities in spite of the fact that they<\/p>\n<p>          have secured first with honours in Forest Training Examination in their<\/p>\n<p>          School and they fulfilled the criteria for promotion as laid down under<\/p>\n<p>          Clause 3.21 b of the Bihar Forest Manual &#8211; Volume &#8211; 2. It is said that in<\/p>\n<p>          spite of the fact that their cases have already been forwarded for<\/p>\n<p>          consideration for their promotion by letter dated 16.01.2003 as<\/p>\n<p>          contained in Annexure-5 issued under the signature of Conservator of<\/p>\n<p>          Forest, Hazaribagh Division, Hazaribagh, but their cases have not<\/p>\n<p>          been considered.\n<\/p>\n<p>    3.            Mr. Rajendra Krishna, learned Sr. S.C.-I appearing for the<\/p>\n<p>          respondent State fairly submitted that since the matter for promotion<\/p>\n<p>          of the petitioners has already been forwarded to the Regional Chief<br \/>\n        Conservator of Forest, Hazaribagh and therefore, their case would be<\/p>\n<p>       considered in accordance with law.\n<\/p>\n<p>4.              In view of the stand taken by the respondent &#8211; State, this writ<\/p>\n<p>       petition is being disposed of by directing the Regional Chief<\/p>\n<p>       Conservator of Forest, Hazaribagh to consider the cases of the<\/p>\n<p>       petitioners for their promotion to the post of Forester, pursuant to<\/p>\n<p>       Clause 3.21 b of the Bihar Forest Manual Volume-2 and decide the<\/p>\n<p>       claim in accordance with law by a reasoned order within a period of<\/p>\n<p>       eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.<\/p>\n<p>5.
