Respondents.\n\nPrayer: Petition filed seeking for a writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent herein to release the Tipper Lorries bearing Regn.Nos.TN 23 AD 0329, TN 23 AD 0331, TN 20 AX 3778, TN 31 A 2112, TN 04 D 2181, TN 22 AY 3344, TN 23 AK 4051, TN 28 AD 0580 and JCB Regn.Nos.TN 20 AH 4492 and TN 23 AS 4842 to the petitioner seized on 20.04.2011.\n\n\t\tFor Petitioner\t  : \tMr.V.Sanjeevi\n\n\t\tFor Respondents   : \tMr.R.Thirugnanam, SGP \n\n******\n\nO R D E R\n<\/pre>\n<p>\tHeard the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t2. At this stage of the hearing of the writ petition, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents had submitted that a notice, dated 25.04.2011, had been served on the petitioner, on 28.04.2011, asking the petitioner to appear in person and to submit its explanation, within three days.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t3. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner had submitted that the petitioner would appear in person, before the first respondent, on 02.05.2011, and would submit its explanation sought for, by the first respondent, by the notice, dated 25.04.2011.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t4. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the parties concerned, the petitioner is directed to appear in person before the first respondent, on 02.05.2011, and submit its explanation.  On the petitioner appearing before the first respondent, on 02.05.2011, and submitting its explanation, the first respondent shall consider the same, along with the explanation submitted on behalf of the Southern Railway, Chennai, on 23.04.2011, and pass appropriate orders thereon, on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, not later than seven days thereafter.\n<\/p>\n<p>\tThe writ petition is ordered accordingly. No costs.
