Justice ANTONY DOMINIC\n\n Dated :19\/05\/2010\n\n O R D E R\n                     ANTONY DOMINIC, J.\n                        ----------------------\n                  W.P.(C) No. 11340 OF 2010\n                      ---------------------------\n             Dated this the 19th day of May, 2010\n\n                        J U D G M E N T\n<\/pre>\n<p>                        ~~~~~~~~~~~<\/p>\n<p>      Challenge in this Writ Petition is against Ext.P3, which<\/p>\n<p>inter alia allows inter-district transfer for Staff Nurses. The<\/p>\n<p>petitioner submits that she is included in the ranked list<\/p>\n<p>published by the PSC for Staff Nurse in Kollam District and<\/p>\n<p>that the list is to expire on 29.5.2010. It is stated that if<\/p>\n<p>vacancies available are allowed to be filled up by inter-<\/p>\n<p>district transfer that will       result in candidates like the<\/p>\n<p>petitioner loosing opportunity to get employment. On this<\/p>\n<p>ground, Ext.P3 is challenged.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>      2.     It is the settled position in law that a person<\/p>\n<p>included in a ranked list has no indefeasible right to get<\/p>\n<p>appointment.       His right is only to be considered for<\/p>\n<p>appointment as and when appointments are made from the<\/p>\n<p>ranked list. Therefore, the existence of the ranked list does<\/p>\n<p>not in any manner prevent the Government from allowing<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">W.P.(C) No.11340\/2010           2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>inter-district transfer for those employees who are already in<\/p>\n<p>service.
