Radhakrishnan, J.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>      We have heard learned counsel for the parties. There are<\/p>\n<p>litigations between the private parties touching immovable<\/p>\n<p>properties. It is stated that a Civil Revision Petition is pending<\/p>\n<p>before this Court. The chequered career of the litigation is<\/p>\n<p>reflected by the fact that the suit commenced sometime in 1963<\/p>\n<p>with execution proceedings spreading on. It would be most<\/p>\n<p>inappropriate for the police to decide as to the identity of the<\/p>\n<p>property or to decide on any allegation as to violation of decrees<\/p>\n<p>or injunction. All that the police has to ensure is that law and<\/p>\n<p>order is preserved. That does not by itself mean that every<\/p>\n<p>frivolous complaint should be converted to report without<\/p>\n<p>proper investigation. We make this observation in the light of<\/p>\n<p>the rival submissions that at the mere asking, crimes are being<\/p>\n<p>registered and people are called upon to answer allegations.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">W.P.(C) No.3684\/2011            2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>     2.    We, hence, leave open all issues touching rights to<\/p>\n<p>properties and direct that the police shall not interfere with any<\/p>\n<p>issue relating to disputes touching properties and shall take care<\/p>\n<p>of any reports as to commission of cognizable offences and also<\/p>\n<p>any threat to life.   We also clarify that, if any party has any<\/p>\n<p>complaint that any of the judicial orders are not honoured, it is<\/p>\n<p>for them to move the appropriate jurisdictions, where such<\/p>\n<p>matters are pending including this Court in the revision, if so<\/p>\n<p>advised, and this judgment would not stand in the way of any<\/p>\n<p>such proceedings.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>     Writ Petition ordered accordingly.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>               (THOTTATHIL B.
