In the meantime, the<br \/>\nrespondents are directed the complete inquiry proceedings against the<br \/>\npresent petitioner.\n<\/p>\n<p>\tMr.\n<\/p>\n<p>Shah, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner has prayed for<br \/>\ngrant of interim relief in terms of restraining the respondents from<br \/>\ngiving promotions to the post of Executive Engineer to any juniors to<br \/>\nthe petitioner in the set up of Gujarat Water Supply &amp; Sewage<br \/>\nBoard.  This court is not inclined to grant any such relief at this<br \/>\nstage in view of the well settled principle of law that a promotional<br \/>\npost cannot be withheld.\n<\/p>\n<p>\tHowever,<br \/>\nit is made clear that all promotions which are made to the post of<br \/>\nExecutive Engineer w.e.f. 23.01.2009 shall be subject to the result<br \/>\nof this petition.
