(ORAL)<\/p>\n<p>             Learned counsel for the State submits that on the receipt of<\/p>\n<p>telegram by post, notice was issued to Punjab. Reply has been filed on<\/p>\n<p>behalf of State, wherein, it has been mentioned that there was civil dispute<\/p>\n<p>between the petitioner and head constable of the police regarding the<\/p>\n<p>payment of rent.     The allegations that the petitioner was threatened by<\/p>\n<p>Inspector, Gurjit Singh, Incharge CIA staff, Faridkot and other police<\/p>\n<p>officials namely S.I. Gurjit Singh, ASI Rachhpal Singh and HC Gohar<\/p>\n<p>Singh has been denied.\n<\/p>\n<p>             Counsel for the State, submits that it shall be ensured that no<\/p>\n<p>such threat is meted out in future to the petitioner.<\/p>\n<p>             In view of the above, the instant petition has been rendered<\/p>\n<p>infructuous.
