Justice K.R.UDAYABHANU\n\n Dated :10\/04\/2007\n\n O R D E R\n                             K.R.UDAYABHANU, J\n\n                        ---------------------------------------------\n\n                              CRL.R.P.No.1532 of 2007\n\n                         ---------------------------------------------\n\n                    Dated this the 10th day of April, 2007\n\n\n\n\n                                     O R D E R\n<\/pre>\n<p>       The   revision   petitioner   stands   convicted   for   the   offence<\/p>\n<p>under   Section   138   of   the   Negotiable   Instruments   Act   and<\/p>\n<p>sentenced, as modified by the appellate court,   to imprisonment<\/p>\n<p>till   the   rising   of   the   court   and   to   pay   a   compensation   of<\/p>\n<p>Rs.48,000\/- to the complainant vide Section 357(3) of the Code of<\/p>\n<p>Criminal   Procedure   and   in   default,   to   undergo   simple<\/p>\n<p>imprisonment for one month.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>       2.    Counsel for the revision petitioner has only sought for<\/p>\n<p>time to pay the amount of compensation.   In the circumstances,<\/p>\n<p>conviction   is   confirmed.     Revision   petitioner   is   granted   six<\/p>\n<p>months&#8217;   time   from   today   onwards   to   pay   the   amount   of<\/p>\n<p>compensation.     He   shall   appear   before   the   Judicial   First   Class<\/p>\n<p>Magistrate   Court,   Ottapalam   on   12.10.2007   to   receive   the<\/p>\n<p>sentence.
