The case was heard on 01\/07\/2009. The appellant was heard through a<br \/>\nrepresentative, Shri Venkatesh Nayak.\n<\/p>\n<p>2.      The appellant has asked for certain information which relate to a Gas<br \/>\nAgency, which has been suspended by the respondent for its alleged illegal<br \/>\nactivities. The information asked for relate to jurisdiction map, NOC obtained<br \/>\nfrom the competent authority, the details of complaints received against the Gas<br \/>\nAgency on the basis of which it has been suspended, details of LPG consumers<br \/>\nand supply of refilled cylinders within a specific period, etc.<\/p>\n<p>3.     The CPIO has replied and furnished a point-wise response, with which the<br \/>\nappellant      is        not        satisfied.    Hence,        this       appeal<br \/>\nbefore the Commission. During the hearing, the appellant&#8217;s representative stated<br \/>\nthat he was not satisfied with the responses given to him in respect of items No.<br \/>\n3, 5, 7, 11 &amp; 12 of the original RTI application dated October 4, 2008. He<br \/>\ntherefore pleaded for providing the relevant information as asked for by the<br \/>\nappellant.\n<\/p>\n<p>4.     During the hearing, the details of information as requested by the<br \/>\nappellant and the replies given by the CPIO and Appellate Authority were<br \/>\ndiscussed.\n<\/p>\n<p>Decision:\n<\/p>\n<p>5.    The appellant has asked for information in the form of various queries<br \/>\nwhich have been replied, yet the appellant is not satisfied in respect of the<\/p>\n<p>                          If you don&#8217;t ask, you don&#8217;t get &#8211; Mahatma Gandhi<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">                                         1<\/span><br \/>\n information given to him under items 3, 5, 7, 11 &amp; 12, which relate to disclosure<br \/>\nof jurisdiction map, NOC obtained from the competent authority for being eligible<br \/>\nfor dealership and the details of action taken against a dealer on the basis of<br \/>\nvarious complaints.\n<\/p>\n<p>6.      The CPIO has clarified the issues and answered all the queries made by<br \/>\nthe appellant. Had the appellant specified the desired information as per section<br \/>\n2 (f) of the Act, the degree of his dis-satisfaction could have been minimized. The<br \/>\nappellant is therefore advised to clearly specify the information which should be<br \/>\nfurnished to him as per the provisions of the Act. For this purpose, he would be<br \/>\nfree to seek inspection of relevant records and files to identify the required<br \/>\ninformation.\n<\/p>\n<p>7.     In so far as the disclosure of documents, as in para 5 above is concerned,<br \/>\nthe CPIO is directed to furnish them at the earliest, preferably within 15 working<br \/>\ndays from the date of issue of this decision.\n<\/p>\n<p>8.
