NO. 1275 OF 2007\n\n                 =================================\n\n                   Dated this the 23rd  day of March 2007\n\n\n                                      O R D E R\n<\/pre>\n<p>       The   revision   petitioner   stands   convicted   for   the   offence   under<\/p>\n<p>section   138   of   the   Negotiable   Instruments   Act   and   sentenced   to<\/p>\n<p>undergo   simple   imprisonment   for   six   months   and   to   pay   a   sum   of<\/p>\n<p>Rs.1,65,000\/-   as   compensation   and   in   default   to   undergo   simple<\/p>\n<p>imprisonment for two months.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>       2.     The   counsel   for   the   revision   petitioner   has   only   sought   for<\/p>\n<p>modification   of   sentence   and   for   time   to   pay   the   amount   of<\/p>\n<p>compensation.     In   the   circumstances,   sentence   is   modified   to<\/p>\n<p>imprisonment   till   rising   of   the   court.     The   rest   of   the   sentence   is<\/p>\n<p>confirmed.   The   revision   petitioner   is   granted   six   months   time   from<\/p>\n<p>today   onwards   to   pay   the   amount   of   compensation.     The   revision<\/p>\n<p>petitioner shall appear before Judicial First Class Magistrate -II, Aluva<\/p>\n<p>on 24.09.2007 to receive sentence.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>       The Crl. R.P is disposed of accordingly.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>                                                K.R.
