Long State Road between Jagatpur and Chandbali is an important road in the coastal areas in Orissa. The State Road originates from the National Highway No.5 and goes via Jagatpur, Salepur, Kendrapara, Patamundai and Aul Assembly constituencies and ends at Chandbali. This road will link newly put up Dhamara Port at Chandbali. People of some other Assembly Constituencies of Orissa like Rajnagar Bari-Derabishi and Patkura also depend on this important State Road.\n<\/p>\n<p>\tThousands of vehicles ply on that road every day. There is no other alternative road to connect Cuttack and Bhubaneswar. But the condition of the road has become worse. The work pertaining to widening of the road was taken up a decade ago, but the completion of widening work has not made much progress. The quality of work is also not satisfactory particularly work from Jagatpur to Chandabali. It is very difficult to ply vehicle on that portion particularly during rainy season.
